i am woman is a documentary short film exploring gender disparity in athletics through the perspectives of three members of the University of California, Berkeley community. Directed by Maddi Wong and shot by Guillermo Gonzalez, the film follows the stories of Charmin Smith, head coach of Cal women’s basketball; Asha Fletcher, a track and field jumper; and Bonnie Morris, a women’s history professor and acclaimed author.
UC Berkeley Latin American & Caribbean Music Ensemble | Full Debut Concert
Students at UC Berkeley make history by forming the first-ever class dedicated to the formal study and performance of Latin music within the university’s Department of Music. The ensemble’s debut concert pays tribute to the rhythms that are danced to at celebrations across Latin America.
